It boasts a great school system, and its forest has five camping areas, 15 miles of bike trails, 35 miles of equestrian trails, and 13 miles of hiking trails. Carver is about 40 miles from Boston and Providence. Commuter rail service to South Station, Boston, is available via the nearby Middleborough, Kingston and Plymouth Lines.

The Carver area is home to a number of attractions:

Myles Standish State Forest
Family fun including camping, freshwater ponds for fishing and swimming. Open year round.

Cranberry Harvest Celebration
Join the fun on Columbus Day weekend. This family event features juried crafters, cooking demonstrations, pony and wagon rides, and a guided tour of a working cranberry bog.

Edaville Railroad
A family favorite. Take a 5.5 mile trip through cranberry country on vintage passenger trains pulled by steam and diesel locomotives. Open May - December.

King Richards Faire
Kings, jesters and more. See what life was like in medieval England days. Open weekends from Labor Day to Columbus Day.
